Once high-schoolers ourselves, we know what a pain it can be to find the perfect dress, shoes and get our makeup done in time for the school dance, let alone how expensive it can all be. Prom is one of the major highlights for us as teenagers. It is the night that we all want to remember as the best night of our lives. Prom is also a huge part of our high school experience that no one should have to miss out on. That's why here at PPP, we believe all girls who want to go to the prom should get a chance to go to the prom feeling confident about how they look, without worrying about how must it will cost.

In the Seattle metro area, about 29% of the population earns below $50,000 per year. With the new infrastructure and companies coming to the area, that number is only going to increase as competition grows. In addition to this, 38% (590,327) of children in Washington state live in low-income families (National: 41%). This means that a lot of these children are struggling to live normal lives, and do not have access to a lot of the luxuries that most of the population has. Giving them the prom experience for so much less, is our way of making sure that they enjoy their high school life, without agonizing over the cost of it all.

For this reason, we created Princess Protection Project, and our main goal was to provide an amazing prom experience for those who cannot afford it as easily as others. So please support our cause and donate any old dresses you have to help more girls have the time of their lives, and come rent dresses from us so that we can keep the business up and running for everyone.
